The Sam Bell Maxey House is temporarily closed to the public, due to extensive restoration and reconstruction. For more information on the state historic site, call 903.785.5716 or email the site manager.
The Sam Bell Maxey House is accessible only by guided house tours. Tours last approximately one hour and are included in the admission fee.
Groups of less than 10 people may drop in between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for a tour or call 903.785.5716 to reserve a specific tour time.
For group tours consisting of 10 or more people, reservations are required at least two weeks in advance of the tour date. Group tours can accommodate up to 40 people per hour, with special arrangements available to accommodate groups of more than 40.
